Food and Farm Business Help

MaineStream Finance (MSF), a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and subsidiary of Penquis, has launched a new business assistance program: Healthy Foods Options.  The service is designed for rural microbusinesses involved in the growing, production and distribution of healthy foods.  Our goal is to assist microbusiness owners that want to expand into new food markets.  Local communities will benefit with increased access to healthy foods for rural and low-income families.  Plus, the increased access to healthier, locally produced foods will help sustain rural communities and grow local economies.
